Reed diffuser gifts: which scent to give, and why two
A reed diffuser is an easier present than perfume. You are not asking someone to wear it. You are giving a room a scent, and rooms are easier to read than people. Here is how we would choose between our four, and why we nearly always suggest giving two.

Which scent to give
For the host
The person whose house everyone ends up at. Give them Suave: fresh bergamot and pepper over clean woods. It belongs in the hallway, the first room a guest meets, and it says the evening has started.
For the new homeowner
Boxes everywhere, nothing on the walls yet. Rouge is saffron and amber with a sweet, glowing warmth, and it makes a bedroom or a living room feel lived in before the pictures go up.
For the one who likes calm
Pale walls, tidy shelves, early nights. Coco is bright orange over rose with soft patchouli beneath. Polished and easy, it is the one we reach for when we do not know the person well.
For the one who likes a statement
Dark paint, good dinner parties, a strong opinion on everything. Pomegranate Noir is dark fruit with a little drama. It stands up to a steamy bathroom and it does not apologise.
Why two is the better present
One diffuser scents one room. Two let someone choose, or scent the hallway and the bedroom at once, which is how most homes end up using them. A pair also looks like more thought went into it, because it did.
The easy rule is one warm, one soft. Rouge with Coco is the safe pair and suits almost any home. Suave with Pomegranate Noir is the bold pair, for someone who likes their house to have a bit of theatre.
